Pages of a novel

Hello guys :3 I find myself blogging instead of catching up on lectures I've skipped (yes, already), but yeah. Life has been pretty good lately, but really need to get my act together for uni, or I will literally end up cramming really badly again. Anyway, last sunday was a pretty fun day, finished work and went out to dinner!!
Yes, between the two of us, we ate all the above PLUS ramen & another plate of sushi. Easy peasy. Didn't end up having dessert though, because ended up being too full.
I think i always end up pigging out during winter, should really start to watch what I eat... I keep saying this but never actually do it. Mannnn... and I've been saying that I would join the gym since like over 7 months ago. Yup. Evidently I have some problems implementing my goals.
On another, note I am really obsessed with Bonsai Botanika's interior design and the cups they use, it all looks so good. I think it would be a nice place to study, if only there weren't so many people.
Anyways, yesterday it was vincent's birthday! Too bad jen is still overseas otherwise we could've all celebrated together. I attempted making a chocolate chiffon cake with pudding in the middle. Actually I'm surprised it turned out okay because I actually haven't tasted it before, kinda just got recipes off the internet and combined it with a pudding recipe.
I shamelessy went and bought a cake box from bread top and walked away casually. Well actually I cheated and also bought a chocolate plaque because the last few times I attempted to temper chocolate, it ended up melting really quickly so I wanted to avoid that. But, to no avail, the 'happy birthday' writing melted off the plaque by the time I got home, so I had to go and try write a message again by myself, which literally came out as big fat white blobs on my first few attempts.
I thought it'd pretty clever to try write a birthday message that looked like a eye chart, since vincent studies optometry :P HAHAHA. Met up with him & kwok at warrigal square to have some milk tea before kwok drove us to this nice jap restaurant to have a celebratory dinner. Yes, japanese again, love jap food :')
We kind of ran out of things to do / places to go afterwards because we were all too full to drink anything so somehow ended up just chilling at Vincent's house and playing with his dog :P
Lo & behold, these two cutie pies.
Okay, yup thats all HAHAHA. I swear 90% of my posts are about eating food, I'm sorry if you're feeling hungry hahaha! I really should catch up on my lectures soon... get into a good study habit (cough). Good night to you all!

Hi guys! Uni has just started today and I am already missing the holidays - no joke. Here come assessments, tutoring, work and everything else going in life. Feeling a little overwhelmed already, probably because I was too sick to make it to my second lecture this morning so feeling a little obligated to do some catch up work since I've made a pact with vincent to work harder in uni this semester. Anyway, I thought I might update a little on what I was up to during my last few days of holidays.
Well, lets just say I've been literally eating my way through Brisbane, mainly for brunch. Okay make that all three meals really. Went to The burrow for brunch with Vincent the other day, I am always amused by the menu since it has food which makes references to Harry potter.
Lemon & Lime bitter// Homemade iced tea with mint.
Slim Jack rabbit burger with gnarly fries! I finished the entire plate off by myself like a boss. The other day I also went to Pablos cafe in New farm! I got smoked salmon with dill scrambled eggs and toast with … yeah okay I give up. Cannot remember the entire name unless I meticulously go through their online menu (if they have one). Oh well, the picture can do all the talking.
I don't usually get sick, but this holidays I've managed to get sick twice already… but thank goodness it was before I went to the gold coast with some uni friends to visit Joon. He picked us up from the train station and drove us to his house where he prepared food for korean BBQ!
It was soooo good, food coma right there. I am in love with the pickles, seriously.
I also tried Ox tongue for the first time, got over my fear… it was rather chewy. Thanks joon for preparing all that food for us! We were all a bit hyped up and happy that day.
I'm kinda getting all my days mixed up, simply because my brain isn't working to well at the moment, but I pretty much just visited a different place each day of the week and ate there.
Spontaneously invited some friends over to my house last friday for lunch. Well, the thing is, it ended up being a girls day and when everyone arrived, one of us were like "hmm I feel like kimchi hot pot" and then I was just like "OMG I HAVE KIMCHI"…. so we had kimchi hotpot awwww yeah.
Our attempt at making korean food, looks decent does it not? We finished making the food at around 2pm but then none of us felt like eating yet so we left the hot pot to simmer away for a little bit.
…. and proceeded to turn my table into a makeover zone. Girls will be girls
Tam was meant to be teaching me how to tightline but then it turned into a 'give penny a makeover' thing, it took about two hours because they were experimenting what kind of winged eyeliner to give me. This is much too difficult.
Lo and behold, after make up! Am I still recognisable? Brother came home, took one look at me and was like 'LOL'. Friend refused to take photo with me except victoria because I had make up on and they didn't, what even.
I plan to try out my newbie make up skills on them next time. Hail tam the make up master, who taught me how to tightline my eyes. The next day elaine & Sunny called me out to chill since they were in south bank for creative generation music performance so I hung out a little bit with them, along with kaido whom they also called out. Kaido & I got bored waiting for them so we walked from southbank to the city to kill time. Let me leave you with a photo I took from Goodwill bridge:

Hello guys, back again! The other day (thursday), I met up with elaine & a few others in the morning in preparation for our barbecue party at southbank. Actually, we were supposed to all turn up at nine but in the end, a few people weren't able to make it so…. there ended up being like eight of us.

Actually, it was supposed to be a sausage sizzle lunch but Richie hadn't had breakfast yet and we ended up cooking sausages for 'breakfast', only to commence 'lunch' half an hour after we finished breakfast.
Testing our cooking skills… we cooked halfway and realised that we used the wrong side of aluminium foil. I can never seem to remember which side to use hahaha!
We kind of ended up playing some card games & mafia, which was really hilarious because I was totally the best mafia ;) Didn't get caught twice. Elaine seemed quietly shocked at my extreme acting skills HAHA.
Sorry guys, I think I'm failing at being entertaining. I think i'm slowly losing my touch with writing and all, I blame growing up for my decreasing amount of creativity. Anyway, to my surprise we actually ended up finishing most of the food.. thanks to albert the food monster. Jokes.
Well yeah, okay going to let the photos do the talking now, since I think i'm just stating the obvious at the moment. I seem to be feeling a little glum and bored with Brisbane, it's actually kind of depressing. If only I could go on a spontaneous trip somewhere :P Oh well, lets lament about that later. Good night!

Hi guys!! I actually started writing this post three days ago… except I kind of forgot about it until now, so yeah, my bad. By 'started', I mean uploaded half the photos and didn't bother with the rest but you know. Not like anything fantastically exciting has been happening, just the usual: Work, tutoring and of course making the most of my holidays by hanging out with good company.
Work uniform = Head to toe in black. On the rare days I have nothing on, I pretty much spent a lot of my time curling up with a blanket whilst wearing my pajamas around, doing one of my favourite things: reading.

Now doesn't that look nice and cosy. Jokes, in reality the table was covered with a lot of random paper and junk, I kind of just shoved it out of the way. What a lovely insight into my life aye. My brother and & dad went to new zealand for a couple of days because my brother wanted to participate in some yugioh oceania tournament or something, how typically nerdy.

As a result, I took it upon myself to become a better daughter by cooking dinner for my mother & I (ft. cousin when he came a few days later). Proved my mum wrong by actually not failing. She always keeps saying that I should help out in the kitchen otherwise I will never survive if I move out. Pfffft, my game is strong guys.

Tomato & cucumber salsa, Ajitsuke tamago & braised pork. Of course, we still had our lazy days and ended up getting takeaway sushi some days.
Oh and had mappen for lunch!!
It's ironic that whilst I work, I end up spending money to buy food before or after… thus defeating the purpose. At least I'm still making a significant amount of profit. Had a catch up session/ tutoring session with Coco the other day at SLQ.
We proceeded to pay for a ridiculously overpriced brunch at the cafe there just so Coco see that cute waiter she is obsessed with.. except the sad thing was, he wasn't even working there that day. On another note, I finally found a nice black shoulder bag, I've kind of been wanting one for ages and came across it yesterday. I persuaded myself to get it since you know, spending my pay on food and saving the rest doesn't really give me a feeling of satisfaction.

I went to visit elaine the other day, after my japanese lesson & we went on that long awaited maccas run. All my friends seem to have their P plates already and meanwhile I still suck at parking…

Anyhow, that is all for tonight!! Believe it or not, I had to type this post up twice because it decided not to save. Not that this a particularly interesting tidbit of information but you know. Goodnight to you all :3

Hello guys! On monday (30th of June), a couple of my friends (namely Justin, pk, victoria, Jela & sabrina) met up at southbank in an attempt to give tam an extremely extremely late birthday surprise. Well more like, we called it 'tam appreciation day' since you know, saying happy birthday a little over four months after ones birthday is just a tad awkward.

We managed to get everything set up and got justin to pretend he was having problems with his love life and thus needs advice from Tam. Justin managed to get her to meet up with him at southbank and to walk along the riverside whilst the rest of us hid behind a bush and jumped out at her. All the while, he had to keep making up random lies about his 'love troubles' HAHAHA. Too good, too good.
Of course, we got an icecream cake since Tam loves icecream. I'm actually really surprised it didn't melt since it was sitting there without refrigeration for more than half an hour. In the end, the surprise was so worth it, we snuck behind her with masks that had the face of her favourite korean celebrity on it.
I swear people walking by probably thought we were stalkers or something, since we were crouching in the bushes with masks and a camera HAHAHA. We ended up just doing a sausage sizzle for lunch….. without oil, because we were so smart and didn't think to bring any. Worked out well in the end :P
Tam was telling us she kind of suspected it might've been a birthday surprise but at the same time thought we wouldn't be organised enough, and by the end she pretty much believed that justin was just asking for advice.
Vic & Tam, the cute couple. HAHAHAHA.
Story with this picture is… we were all taking obligatory group shots and a bunch of caucasians came to photobomb. Note the uh… slightly awkward and inappropriate actions they were doing. I shall never understand. Not being racist or anything, just saying.
So. much. swag.
Happy tam appreciation day!! :3 Hope you enjoyed our little 'surprise' tam.
