Pages of a novel

Hello guys, I'm more or less up to date with the present now and I know I probably said I wanted to reflect on 2014 but probably don't have enough  time to do that. Oh and I'm lazy so yeah; but I'm guessing you know it'd probably be the generic "it had its good times and bad times" etc.

So during the days I don't have anything on, I've kind of just been staying at home and sometimes I end up taking out my bag of make up and trying it out. I'm always too lazy to put on full foundation though but this time round I actually got around to putting eye make up on BOTH eyes rather than just half heartedly attempting one side. Still trying to master the art of drawing on eyebrows that I don't have ;)

I think I'm slowly getting an idea of what to do but anyhow. Took a few photos just to see how it'd turn out and the results between photos look so strangely different. Like the only difference was pretty much lighting and the wind but I turned from pale to really tanned within seconds. My mother says I look rather ferocious.

Anyhow, a few days later I went out for lunch, dinner + movie with Vincent :3 We take our food so seriously that we went to three different places just to get nice food.

Sunnybank for lunch, West end for dinner and Mt. gravatt lookout for supper (of pizza). We also saw a reindeer in the city! They were unloading all these farm animals in the middle of the pathway. I always seem to miss out on the full christmas festivities but yeah.
The fat life is so real; we finished a whole pizza between us two AFTER DINNER. It was sooooo good though, it was from a place called Crust Pizza which Vincent took me to. Trumps dominos and Pizza hut any day.
It was actually my first time at Mt. Gravatt lookout and to think I didn't know of its existence until recently. There was a surprising amount of people up there just looking at the scenery.
So pretty right? Didn't know brisbane could look like this. The plan next time is to bring maccas as well ;)

It was Pk's birthday on the 28th of December..
I had the pleasure of attending her party but the girl pulled out a MAC bag and gave it to me insisting that it was for my late birthday present. Thanks so much for the lipstick!! She's kind of been watching me timidly checking out lipsticks whenever I shop with her. Except... I always just walk away from it after much debate.
This colour is called Diva. My first MAC lipstick!
Here is roughly what the colour looks like :) Now I don't have to mix random lipsticks together anymore to make the colour I want.
I've also been doing a bit of shopping lately actually; I'm quite amazed at myself for buying so many things. I actually spontaneously went boxing day shopping with PK the other day and I think I did pretty well considering I usually never buy things that easily.
Got persuaded to buy myself my first branded make up product: Hypnose Doll eyes mascara by Lancome. I saw it at Mecca Maxima for $52 but then found a gift set at David jones for $54 so obviously the latter was a better deal since it came with make-up remover and eyeliner as well.
I'm not too good at distinguishing what "good" mascara is but at least it can somehow make my non-existent bottom lashes look somewhat more visible.
Anyhow, friends are coming over soon and hopefully staying the night so we can count down for the New year!! So I shall end the post here. Happy new year to you all :3 and thank you for sticking by with me.

Hello guys! I'm determined to catch up to the present by the time it hits 2015 ( so not long to go) but anyhow. I'm probably skipping a few things; mostly just little food adventures here and there but yeah, I'm sure you're all used to food posts by now. Things like this:

Well technically I didn't eat any of this since I absolutely detest seafood (strange I know) but everyone else had it. Jackie, his friend, Vincent, Brian and I all went down to the gold coast about two weeks ago and stopped at a store near Seaworld for lunch.

I've been trying to fill my days with activities to be honest, since staying at home tends to make me feel a little bit depressed. Talk about dependence on social interaction! Anyhow, my parents and brother were away in Sydney for a weekend so Vincent came over to help me make custard filling for my profiteroles.

Injection of happiness into the puffs.
Had a dinner of steak and sesame sauce salad before I took him upstairs to my new apartment (in the exact same building mind you) to show him around. I was so amazingly smart that I remembered to bring keys to the apartment upstairs but forgot ones to my current one. Thank goodness my dad left spare keys in the stairway somewhere.

The view is quite nice upstairs so I brought up some of the profiteroles and golden gaytime so we could have a bit of a snack before he left :3 Yum yum.

Brisbane weather has been pretty temperamental and no doubt you would've all noticed but anyhow, on a terribly warm day, a couple of friends and I decided to go iceskating together finally!

I brought my new camera onto the ice and was very relieved that I managed to take a few shots without dropping it. Was actually trying to get a cute couple shot of Jackie and victoria but then came an unwanted intruder..... so Victoria got a little possessive.
.... and success!
In revenge, Victoria and I decided to take a cute photo together too ;) I think we make the better couple here if I do say so myself. The photo game is real strong.
There ice rink was actually quite packed with people despite the photos suggesting otherwise but I decided to man up and join a game of red rover. It was my first time joining in because previously I just found it too scary. Didn't do too bad actually; maybe out of sheer luck I was the second last person remaining on ice?
We all kind of wilted a little bit after we stepped outside and spent a while deciding where to go. Then Pk spontaneously said Wagaya so we drove all the way to my house to park before taking the bus out to fortitude valley for lunch.
I ordered a chicken nankin lunch bento set and it came with a very generous portion of meat and fried goods. It was so filling I didn't even have to eat dinner afterwards. Quite worth the price in my opinion but you definitely need some tea to wash down some of the richness of the food.
A friend of Jackie's came over from China so he persuaded some of us to by VIP passes to movie world, wet 'n' wild and seaworld. Vincent was driving his cousin and I so in the morning we stopped by woolies to buy some food supplies thinking that it would be much more worth it compared to the food inside Movie world.
However, our meagre salads and muffins were a poor comparison to the hot dogs that everyone else was consuming. It was so saddening we went directly to mcdonalds afterwards to have a bit of a snack in compensation.
Don't be deceived by how calm and peaceful we look. Here is a photo of how we REALLY are on rides. Victoria and I are fearless ;)
Annnnd with great flourish I end my post here. Good night !

As promised, I'm back again! Yes merry christmas to you all again :P Please bear with me whilst I recap the last few weeks of my life; what a cool story. I caught up with cindy after so many months of not seeing her and I took her to miels for the first time.
We practiced the art of looking demure and just D&M'ed for a few hours. We seem to have the same feels all the time ; such a good feeling to be able to just say it all out and have someone understand.
Now that I think about it we've been friends for over four years now, which is actually a pretty long time. She is my sister from another mother: Same last name, both lived in NZ, both Taiwanese, both played badminton and I shared four of the same classes with her in high school.

Had a mini catchup afterwards with Victoria pk & tam. I think we went back to miles for dinner again. I eat out so much lately I sometimes forget what I had. But in this instance I'm glad I chose a salad for lunch since that meant I could eat a burger at Miels again without feeling like a massive pig.

As per usual we went to have dessert at Passiontree!
A few days later, I went to celebrate Elaine's birthday
Well technically just went to Shouk cafe with her for brunch and decided to order something other than savoury for once.

Elaine got the Cardamon and Honey panna cotta with smashed baklava & Pistachio persian fairy floss whilst I opted just a belgian waffle.  I think the food was nice but just a tad too sweet for my tastes but what would I know. I'm not a big big dessert lover.
Elaine's birthday dinner was actually a few days after that and we decided to go to Wagaya, ordering like six green tea lattes. I've been seriously eating without reservation lately.

Some friends drew a picture of our high school group and coloured it in before framing it which I thought was a really really cool idea. I am obviously the apple there.
We went for a karaoke session afterwards and headed back to my apartment for the night. Had a bit of a crazy night . Regret was real the next day. HAHA

I met up with cindy and her sister in the morning then went and had a bit of a healthy dinner with vincent at lock 'n' load bistro in West end.
Few days later, went out for steak at Glenn hotel and got it for a cheap deal at $12. It was better than I expected actually :3 Usually I don't like having steak out but this was an exception.
Anyhow, gonna go enjoy the rest of "christmas" now with a movie or something. Good night to you all :)

Hi guys, I make my grand reappearance on christmas eve. Nah, I'm just kidding, this wasn't really planned out except I now have access to a computer: My new macbook air!! Yes unfortunately my old laptop still has not revived so I had to go get a new one. I've upgraded to a 13 inch one now rather than the 11 inch hehe, and i can now be matchy matchy with my dear jenwen.

It's kind of awkward that half the photos I've been saving for my blog posts are kind of like... one month ago or more but ANYHOW. I'll get those through and then hopefully start on my present day life. I suppose I should do some reflection for 2014 as most people do, but I'll get round to it another day yeah? There are still a few more days left of this year.

Soon what's been happening in the last month? Well as I mentioned a couple of times already, I finished placement!! Oh and my brother had his senior formal + graduated. He doesn't seem to have the same sense of wanting to take gajillion photos as memories but its okay ;)

Being the top sister I am I took it upon myself to snap a few photos. Didn't get to attend his graduation though.
Elaine and her family rocked up at my house too since her brother was also attending the pre-party at my house.
We tried to get more photos of everyone but they were being incredibly awkward and reluctant to take photos with us around so we ended up just leaving a camera for them to take photos themselves. One of my brothers friends wore a floral tie and I noted with amusement that he'd just casually taken a flower bud from some plant outside my apartment and used it as a boutonnière of sorts.
Elaine and I were messing around for a bit ;) Then I took an obligatory photo with my "grown up" brother. He is such a last minute person; I had to take him formal shopping like two days before the actual event and I just kept shoving shirts onto him. BUUUT it turned out alright in the end. Awkward sibling photo just because.

I think my brothers friends didn't realise I was standing in the kitchen when they were talking and one of his friends rushed out half naked in a bid to get changed quickly and I was just speechless. Anyhow moving on from that... :3 my days have been filled with good food and good company!
Thank you :3

"Can we please take an asian selfie?" HAHAHAHAHA. Then post placement dinner at Verve !! We were missing Tam who went overseas. We miss you tam!
A few days after that big feast I went and had another feast at Garden station with some high school friends, just spontaneously. For once, most of us managed to make it despite the fact that usually when we actually organise something EARLIER, not many people can. I think spontaneity is the key. It's so much more convenient now that a few people can drive; we can get to more places. I really need my P plates.
My friends have been telling me lately to spend more money on myself so I tried. Opted to buy myself expensive running shoes for the first time in my life.

Not to mention the fact that I also went shopping with Coco and she persuaded me to by a $35 eyeshadow palette. The girl got accepted into two different fashion schools, I'm so proud of her.
She also gave me a make up lesson of sorts the other day and gave me a bunch of make up that she isn't using anymore :3

I love my free runs :3 But i still need to join the gym so I can actually use them properly. I've just been pretending to fake fitness so far. I really really need to exercise so I can be satisfied with how I look man; not to mention I must actually act upon my words.

Sigh, I don't know what I'm writing anymore, seems like its all over the place. This is what happens when I haven't been blogging frequently but ah well, i'll get there in the end. A Merry christmas to you all :3 Even though I'll be spending majority of my day tomorrow moving things from my garage..  My manager played a prank on a couple of us by getting empty paper boxes and wrapping them up. She stuck a sign on the wall saying "Do not touch or open until end of shift! Merry christmas. Love santa". Such is the life.
Anyhow, goodnight to you all! I shall be back soon hopefully.
