Pages of a novel

Hello readers :3 I have just come back from my first ever ballet lesson - and possibly my last. I got persuaded by vincent's cousin Joanna to join in. I actually did a hip hop dance lesson last friday as well. Goes to show that I just need somebody there to help me get me off my behind. Anyhow, following my last day of placement and after celebrating late into the night with some friends, I headed to elaine's house to stay for that night.

Yes, it was elaine, sunny and me ; back to our sleepover shenanigans. Our high school group decided to go springbrook national park for hiking, for something a little "different" from what we usually do (wander aimlessly around the city not knowing what to do). I was too lazy to bring PJs so I kind of stole elaine's old shirt (which she can't fit anymore I believe because she's so much taller now compared to when she used to be the same height as me ): ): ): ).
Got up pretty early the next day so elaine could pick up a few more strays ;) kiddinggggg. It was pretty damn early though ; we didn't even eat breakfast.
We picked up victoria then met everybody at mcdonalds before heading to Yatala pies for our first stop: BREAKFAST /BRUNCH :D Of course, selfie before we start the journey. Evidently i have not mastered the art of focusing properly using my camera.
We were sitting down eating our pies and to our utter surprise and amazement, Jen managed to finish two pies :P never mind for lunch, just breakfast only HAHA. I think we were all meant to bring food but since I came straight to elaine's house following placement the day before, I scavenged only ;)

Pre-hike photos
I'm proud to say that my legs were not sore at all the next day - goes to show that I haven't fully lost all my fitness yeah? Jokes that was two months ago and things have gone downhill since then :P I think I'm still the shortest out of my high school friends. This is when I need victoria Jia here. Please don't stab me.

The group of us braved the precarious ledge of the cliff face to arrive in this spot. Now don't I make that sound so intense. I think we sort of got more and more energetic throughout the day. Managed to do two trails before heading home.

Yee sum somehow made me look tall YAAAAS.

The weather wasn't too sunny but we were lucky that it didn't start pouring :3 was quite chilly but after power walking through the entire trail it actually got pretty warm.

Found a patch of greenery and decided to be zen.
Didn't even take us that many goes to get this shot. We are just too good ;) Though it did get a bit awkward because we pretty much blocked the whole pathway - a group of asian kids. We were all kind of half dead by the time we got to market square for dinner. A big thank you for Richie and Elaine for driving us all the way there and back, was a really fun day even though technically all we did was walk.
I'm slowly getting there with the blog posts guys :P Perhaps I'll even finish blogging about July soon. Still a few more posts to come!!

Hello guys! About one hour ago, I was ready to fall asleep at the table whilst watching Tam sip her Chai latte but for some reason I'm a bit more invigorated now and have chosen to blog. I am pretty sure half these events aren't really in order but hey? What can I do? I'm lazy. It seems like maybe by the time I catch up with the present, it will be many many posts later.

Time has been a bit of a blur to be honest, it felt like I'd just sit back after placement every day and suddenly BAM two-three months have whizzed by.  Makes me a little concerned that I haven't managed to do half the things I had wanted to do. How very cliche I know. I have a feeling in a few years time I'll look upon these days with much nostalgia.

I wasn't doing very much outside of clinical placement except for occasional dinner dates with a few favourite people :3 I haven't watched a movie in so long.... HAHA. My uni friends and I have graduated from having two meals for dinner to THREE.

I used to be content with only a savoury dish but after hanging out with Tam, all of us have gotten used to having some dessert afterwards.
...and somehow nowadays we find ourselves having three rounds - so one dinner, and two dessert rounds or drinks or whatever we feel like. I think it has something to do with our meeting place often being at market square and all.
Elaine also drove myself and her to harbour town for some shopping!! I got some Nike sports gear on sale, telling myself I'd re-start exercise. Unfortunately that still has not happened and I've reverted back into a lazy blob. We had a impromptu high school gathering that night before we headed back to elaine's house to chill.

I have no idea what we were doing, but we turned some simple Wii games into something worth laughing to death over. Sometimes it feels so nice just to catch up with people you spent your teenage years with :3 It feels like... some things have remained the same. That sense of spontaneity and naivety which I will always treasure is something I often feel when I see them. We shared a large chunk of our life together I suppose.

Anyhow, during this month I finally also finished by 11 week clinical placement and as thanks to the staff at the hospital, I decided to bake some desserts. I got vincent to come over to "help" me except he ended up squeezing out such deformed blobs of macaron mixture that I had to give them 'plastic surgery'.... and then I snatched the piping bag back and did the rest myself XD

Hey, I'm not being mean here, he showed his friend the one he squeezed and his friend was like, no offence but you gotta GTFO from the kitchen HAHAHAHAHAHAH. Or something along those lines. Made chocolate mint macarons, brownies and I attempted to create a chocolate plaque with a drawing of a Chest X-ray on it! Evidently, I'm not that great at drawing; but hey, a radiologist recognised it after a few seconds of puzzlement.

I met up with Cindy also, and brought her to Shouk Cafe and she hadn't been before. The food presentation as usual, was A+. I also dragged her dress shopping since she had a ball coming up. She refused at first but I think in the end ;) she succumbed and admitted the dress I picked out looked good on her muahaha.
I think it was the night before I left for a melbourne trip with friends that Vincent and I decided to go have a giant feast at Garden station. Good old taiwanese fooooooooooood. The pork belly was epically fatty but that is what comfort food is right?
I won't blog about the melbourne trip and other stuff just yet :3 that will be in the upcoming posts since I think they deserve a entry of their own. I was invited to Georgina's 21st birthday after I came back to Brisbane and ended up dragging vincent there with me >< because I didn't know that many people there.

I stole vikki's cocktail to take this photo HAHAHAHAHA. I didn't end up staying out too late because both of us had something on the next day. Vincent was actually telling me the Valley was dodgy and he wasn't too keen on going but I told him it'd be fine. Next minute, we're walking to the car when a random old man comes up and slaps vincent......... ON THE ASS. Then he proceeds to whoop in delight. Of course it would happen right after I told him the Valley wasn't too bad. I'M SO SORRY VINCENT T_______T OMFG HAHA.

Ahem, Good night!!

Hello guys :3 I'm back as promised! I will attempt to re-cap the interest events of the past few months ~ so I am beginning with my one year anniversary with vinlin. It feels weird for me to be blogging about this but perhaps it's because I've abstained from sharing about my life so long - in a way privacy does feel nice sometimes if only to make things more special to myself. Anyhow, after much debate, we finally decided to head to the gold coast to celebrate.

Prior to that, I actually dropped a bit of weight for the first time in ages because I was on placement and trying to simultaneously to be artistic...

I suppose that was a good thing but yep, definitely one of the few scrapbooks I've ever made in my life. The last one I remember making was for elaine for her birthday, which was a couple years ago HAHAHA. Feel loved elaine. Well anyway, for brunch I looked up one that seemed to have lots of positive reviews and so I called up on the morning to make a reservation at Elk expresso.
It was quite busy but we walked in expecting it to be fully packed, but managed to snag a table in a nice corner :3 The food was very nicely presented and the things they offered were more unique compared to brisbane cafes I think, and for a decent price as well.
Vincent ordered the above, but I really can't remember the name of it HAHAHA, since I spent most of my time just trying to take aesthetic photos of the dishes.

You can evidently tell how much I love food from the photo below where I'm smiling at my the food photos on my phone. No joke. I'm surprised I don't look retarded - since I usually look stoned or something when someone tries to take a photo of me when I'm unaware.
I ordered braised beef cheek with roast winter vegetables, and damn it was sooooooo nice. I have a soft spot for braised meat *U* like dayum... and not to mention the weather was a little on the chilly side too, so this proved a very hearty meal. Vincent and I were cutting random pieces of our food up to swap so we could taste both when we noticed the couple next to us just swapped their plates with each other halfway through, which seemed a much classier idea :P
Coincidently, the cafe was right next to broadbeach I think it was, so we just walked to the beach after the meal to hang around for a little bit. The weather was so nice, but crazily windy so we pretty much just sat in the sand for half a day chilling.
Not before we took some selfies in the car and exchanged gifts though :P

Embracing our inner (and outer) asianess to the max.
We trying to get someone to take a photo for us and I suggested asking an old couple who were walking towards us. Vincent was like "nah, they're old, probably don't know how to work a camera", in before he ate his own words when the lady walked up to us and offered before we had the chance to ask properly :p and she was very thorough too - was telling us to stand under different lighting etc HAHAHA.

Now that I think back, I don't actually know what we did for majority of the day - I think we sort of just sat on the beach and then went to stroll around in the park which was right next to the beach as well. We were kind of just killing time before we headed off to QT bazaar for a dinner buffet. Food evidently plays a huge role in our relationship here.
We did have a bit of fun playing with the Dubsmash app at Pacific fair... but that will remain unshared for the sake of preserving my dignity LOL. If you must know, it involved staying in the toys section at big W and lip syncing to weird videos.
The people totally screwed up my reservation ): but we got admitted anyway, thank god. I was still kind of full from the beef cheeks to be honest, but vincent ate like fifty oysters or something while I watched on in amazement.  It's a pity I don't like seafood.
It was pretty funny because we noticed the couple next to us started off as if they were on a casual first date and by the end of the night, they were getting a bit touchy - not to mention the girl was in a skin tight dress AT A BUFFET. I would have died hahahahahahah. It was kind of funny to me at the time.
We blew so much money that day.... because of the buffet. It was a long drive home so we grabbed some coffee at maccas to chill a bit before we parted ways. Perhaps as we get more "mature" we can enjoy the simple things in life. It was a really enjoyable day ~ thank you for driving me :3 and for the past year.

Hello guys,

I doubt there is anybody left who still regularly checks this space but anyhow, suddenly I feel an urge to write something again. It has been much much too long since I've done anything productive of late, it seems as though I just got lazier with blogging and it became more of an obligation rather than something I enjoyed, which is really sad.

I'm not actually sure what I'm up to these days, I just do the same old thing every day, I'm no longer social. Strange as it sounds, I've felt no urges to make social advancements either in person or online, I'm content to just wallow in my little space with the same people :3 Not that they're bad company or anything, quite the contrary. Even so, I'm contemplating just reviving my blog again and possibly attempting to catch up on the past two-three months though the task seems quite daunting. Not that I have much going on at the moment, so recapping the past few months should be good for the moment.

I've never gone so long without blogging before, perhaps it's a sign of me growing up. I no longer feel the same ease with publishing all my thoughts online but anyhow. I don't want to lose this part of myself, sometime I even wonder if I can still write. Anyhow, I am back with ramblings again, lets hope I keep up with it again soon :)

Until then,

Good night!!
