The sad sad moment when you finish the last book of a series ):
Hello guys :) I wasn't planning on going riverfire because I knew there would be heaps of people but I got dragged along anyway because my dad wanted us to take family friends there who were visiting from Taiwan. I haven't been to river fire since like grade 3 or something which was more than 8 years ago. To my surprise, I actually found the fireworks really enjoyable this time unlike last time. It was beautiful and it was such a good atmosphere too. The light show was partially combined with the fireworks and there were pretty lights flashing whilst the fireworks were going off.
It started to rain a little bit after a while though, but that was okay. I found it pretty amusing because it started raining just as Adele's Set fire to rain started playing. How very fitting :3
Wow all these photos were taken with my phone, pretty decent quality I think and it's not even an iphone/htc/samsung galaxy. Anyway, my brother & I went and got some milktea from easyway with mum before going home and watching a movie called Colombiana. After the movie I resumed reading my lovely novels online. I'm sad now, because I finished the series. I must be crazy, finishing six books during the time from thursday afternoon to this morning.
Today:
I went to Garden City with my family to buy a new printer and after I forced my brother to come 'shopping' with me. I think after so many years of not liking shopping very much, I'm starting to get into it, making up for all those years you know? Ahem. I'm literally broke now. Well I've got like $45 left or so. Considering I get $10 a week that's okay I guess. Buttttt I would feel a bit more secure with more money left. Sad how I have like $2500+ in savings from working at Maccas and I can't access it because my card expired in November last year. Yes November and I haven't even gone to renew it. I know.
We went to market square to do some shopping for food afterwards and I bumped into Te-yuan :3 We went to have sushi at Oishi Sushi afterwards. Today I bought a bag, hair bow, mini eyelash curler and fake eyelashes. I need to figure out how to use false lashes.

The dress I bought on tuesday when I went shopping with elaine. I think it's the most pink and lacy thing I have ever owned. Actually I have never owned anything lacy. Oh well, change is good.
Well anyway, today I woke up and did some study before leaving the house to meet up with natalie and her boyfriend. I didn't let them know I could come though and originally Dayadra had planned to come but they all thought I couldn't make it so yeah, only natalie & her boyfriend ended up being able to come.
We watched the movie Ruby Sparks. It's about a writer whose stories seem to come true as soon as he types them, including his character Ruby whom he falls in love with. It was a very interesting movie :) Oh and natalie gave me a box of swiss rolls she made herself along with some macarons she baked with Dayadra for my late birthday present. Thank you guys! Oh and despite what she said, they tasted lovely.
Had Grill'd for lunch but I didn't order a burger because I was broke ): Well kind of broke and I feel as though I've been spending a bit more than usual lately. I took the bus to QUT afterwards and went to the library there to read books before walking home with my brother. Natalie kindly gave me a polaroid picture she got her boyfriend Daniel to take for us. Ah I've missed that girl. I miss jenni too ):

Yesterday I went out with my brother to go shopping with richie for formal stuff. We walked around for the whole morning but didn't end up finding a tie remotely close to the colour of my formal dress so we didn't buy anything. Elaine came at around 11:20am and we went to eat grill'd for brunch. Richie shouted my brother maccas beforehand and then shouted us chips at Grill'd WHILE HE WAS BASICALLY BROKE. He had like $50 dollars in his bank to buy a formal tie & insisted he was getting paid that day so it was all good. Tsk tsk. |
Richie went to work after so elaine & I just went shopping for a little bit before settling down outside P.I.T juice bar for a rest. Our little 'rest' kinda turned into an hour though.
We went for a bit more shopping afterwards and we made each other try on clothes we normally wouldn't wear. It was very interesting. We headed to lincraft afterwards just to check out some stuff and to see if we could find materials similar to my formal dress so that Richie could get his tie custom made. We ended up finding some fake flowers for making corsages though ;) and pretty ribbons.
Yup just acting like retards as usual. We met up with richie afterwards and just waited for our brothers to make their way from southbank back to the city and then we went to have dinner at Vapiano because I had some dinner vouchers. Yay for cheaper food!
Felt so full after finishing it ;_; but it was good to try something different. We were a tiny bit late for the light show but that was okay.
Amazing
Watched a few shows and then we all decided to have Churros (spanish doughnuts). It was my first time trying them, as Jen predicted, I quite liked them :) We just sat on the grass admiring the view and enjoying food before we decided to get up and walk back to the city for Karaoke.

| The people at The Queen karaoke tried to rip us off again. I don't understand why they make it so expensive seriously. The wanted to charge us $55 for an hour. We went to Music City instead, it was our first time and it was only $25 per hour. So much better. Plus, we found out the place was owned by our brothers' friend's parents so they gave us free food and extra time :') My voice kept dying and I kept going out of tune. I can't hit high notes, which nat could've been there. It's always fun karaok'ing with her because she's so good at singing. |
It was the longest I ever stayed out - 10:10pm! Elaine & her brother came home with us and we watched 21 Jump St. Elaine & I chatted a bit more then decided we were too tired to move so we went to bed :) Twas a fun day.
P.s I bought a dress today too. Are you proud of me jenwen?

So excited for tomorrow!!!!!!!! Going to city with elaine tomorrow & perhaps some formal shopping with richie to get his tie. After elaine & I are going to the brisbane festival and then she'll come to my house for a sleepover :3 Yay!

Yesterday my brother & I got dragged to the Gold Coast by my parents because my dad wanted to swim. I spent the majority of my time hiding in the beach tent reading Inheritance though. I remember back in the old days I used to jump at the chance of going to the beach and I always wanted to go swimming/ play sports. How things have changed hahahaha.

We went to have lunch in the Mcdonalds at Harbour town and afterwards we went shopping. Well I went with my brother, my parents went a separate way. We came across this lolly store and decided to buy some lollies. Also saw some Dippin' Dots, which we hadn't tried before so we decided to buy one to share because everyone said they were yummy. I guess they are quite nice but I don't know, I find the texture of it quite unnerving. Then for the first time I bought something at Harbour town: Jewellery for formal & a chiffon white blouse thingy. Guess hanging with Jennifer has taught me become better at shopping.
Some guy gave us moon cakes etc. because he was my dad's business partner. Apparently they're homemade. Looks too pro to be homemade! Yum Yum. I've got so much junkfood at home now.

Hello guys! Today my mum and I went with elaine's family to Unidus (our new church building) opening day :) Apparently it took over ten years of planning and organising for all this to finish but wow, the finally building was amazing. It has like a book cafe, a tuckshop/canteen sorta thing, basketball court, open grass area, auditorium, stage etc. Hehe enjoyed myself thoroughly catching up with a few a few people. I almost couldn't recognise paul when he said hi to me!! Guess those dumbbells are having an effect aye paul?
We got free lunch - sausages& onion + bread before we went wondering around. Then since it was a hot day my mum decided to shout us a strawberry ice-cream thing. It was surprisingly yummy :3 I thought fruit with ice-cream wouldn't taste nice because the sweetness of the ice-cream would make the strawberry seem sour but it didn't. Watched a few cool performances and witnessed elaine die of happiness because one of the church members started singing What makes you beautiful by One direction. There was some hip hop dancing too! I love hip hop dancing, it's so amazing to watch.
Then the important guests were announced and our Lord mayor officially opened Unidus to the public as a community centre + church :) Congrats!!!
Went back to elaine's house and she showed me a few hilarious videos from X factor as well as some other funny videos. It's the first time in ages since a video has made me laugh out loud. I had to go food shopping with mum afterwards though and on the way we went back to our old house to see if there was any mail. I miss my old house :') it looks much nicer than my current one now. Oh well~~ at least I don't have to wake up early for school anymore. But thinking about it, I'm pretty much graduating in like two months anyway. It feels so unreal, I suppose I'll start to feel sad closer to graduation date. I know for sure I'm definitely going to look back on high school and regret not spending each and every moment happy but that's just too bad. I kinda want to keep blogging though. Perhaps I'll just blog for the rest of my life. Okay that was random.

Today I went to school, yes. I went to school on the last day of the term and half the school wagged. Us grade twelves had to sit in the D block rooms together and listen to guest speaker after guest speaker. Honestly, it was pretty boring so for the first time in my life I wagged school. Okay not really wagged, I told my parents but like I left school just because it was too boring. Well we stayed till second lunch and then decided to leave because the last session was going to be about mental health. I mean, who wouldn't want to miss out on mental health?

The school texted everyone's parents telling them we were all absent anyway because they were retarded and then they had to send another texts telling the parents they got it all wrong. I guess this is where our school fees go to - texting.
