Pages of a novel

The more time progresses, the more I feel like I am the stumbling child who lags behind an extremely fit runner. Perhaps its never occurred to me that I might not be able to be a part of your world - unable attain so much, to achieve so much.

I feel like I am inadequate in so many areas and one day you will realise there are so many other better people out there. I will fight every day though, to push forward and cross the finishing line with you.

Sentimental Circus keyrings & Apple shaped photograph holder

Hi guys, other than sitting at home for the past few days, I've finally started doing something relatively productive. Well I started tutoring my student and also have worked a few shifts since I last blogged. I have yet to go on my post-exam shopping spree (which I promised myself when I was still doing uni exams last year). It's sad really, I keep saving and saving yet what is the point if i'm not even saving up for anything? Weird huh. Guess it just adds to my sense of security. Daniel finally got back from overseas and he got everyone in our group a few gifts :3

I actually tried making my own 'Aburi (torched) Salmon' the other day by cutting up a piece of salmon and blow torching it. Ahem, it actually turned out decent but the pieces I cut weren't thin enough so didn't taste as nice as the ones at Wagaya. I was also paranoid cause the salmon wasn't like sashimi-standard fresh so I made sure the entire thing was entirely cooked so I wouldn't get Salmonella or something.

I've eaten out a couple of times with my family, my parents always end up going some place else though because we always want to eat at different places (plus me and my brother always feel awkward because my dad can be amazingly embarrassing). Parents took gazillion years to eat at a italian restaurant whilst I just went to Grill'd with my brother.

It's pretty sad but I've gotten so bored at home I recently started playing neopets again. Okay I can feel you all judging me so hard hahaha. I can never stick to playing games for long though, I always get bored of it after a while. Ha, nobody cares but ya know, I realised I was too stupid as a kid to be good at neopets and now 8D well…..

Moving on, I was originally going to go shopping with elaine at Chermside but Richie popped in and surprised us so we went to eat brunch instead (and sneakily took my car since there, Richie drove since  I'm only on L's).
Eggs benedict // Wedges with sour cream // Salmon and Avocado Stack + iced caramel and iced coffee

I'm trying to grow my fringe out to no avail but my hair has grown a considerable amount. I still wish I had more hair though. It looks brown in the picture for some reason… Oh and I am back at chinese school yet again. As soon as I walked in, the teacher was like :

'Oh, are you the University student?'

This is sad, so very sad.

Sunny got back from Taiwan the other day and coincidentally on the same day I received the post card that she sent. Thanks for the presents hehe!

I was working at Daiso and saw these flowers that just came in this year, they were so pretty so I bought them. The whole bouquet was $2.80, imitating the roses + baby's breath of course. Also bought a vase. Yay happy valentines day to myself :3 bahahaha. I seriously need to go shopping for nicer clothes (if i can convince myself to even buy it).

Anyways, good night to you all :)!

Hello everyone :) I finally went somewhere yesterday after so many days of sitting at home. Originally my friends and I planned a beach day last saturday but some people had things on so we ended up going yesterday. Instead of gold coast though, we headed off to Bribie Island with Richie and his four wheel drive. The trip actually made me realise how little I know, e.g. how you have to let air out of your tyres to go on the sand.

The weather was kind of random yesterday to be honest, it was like rainy to start with and then towards the end of our trip it was warm and sunny, at least we avoided most of the rainy parts of the day when we were driving across the beach.

Finally stopped for lunch and set up a sad place to eat with sand blowing into our food. Then we decided to upgrade ;) ;)

A much happier scene yes? Haha just kidding. A big thanks to Richie for buying some drinks and bringing along the mats/ tarp and tables. We probably would've ended up eating in the car if he hadn't come so prepared.
Found (partitally) crumbled war bunker and despite a sign telling us not to go within 5 metres of the structure, a few people decidedly went inside and climbed to the very top. WITHOUT STAIRS. The rest of us ( okay just the asians) watched on in a mixture of amazement and cautiousness.

We went on to play some 'beach volleyball' and I really must say that hitting the ball hurts like crazy, I don't get how people say it doesn't hurt at all. We were exploring around near the lagoons as well and to our disgust there was this naked mould ridden barbie amidst the murky waters.

such a cute looking couple

After the sun came out we got a little carried away with our 'superpowers'…………...
You notice the inherent gracefulness of Tim and Richie's pose and then there is me looking like I'm about to face plant into the sand.
Its okay, we buried Tim into the sand afterwards and sat on him.
RIP tim.
I don't know why but we started playing all these random games in the sand and found a couple of long as branches to our amusement.

Meet my friend elaine and… my friend the sandman (my tribute to Olaf from the movie Frozen) who is made out of sand a half a spoon that I found lying near the water.

Loved the weather but I got sunburnt so badly.
We found a little area up in the sand dunes which was nice and shady so we chilled there for a while with our coca cola.
A look at our bald selves. Aha, the next photo is deceivingly organised and planned out except it wasn't. The only person who was actually looking at the camera was elaine and the rest of us were just staring off some place into the distance. Gotta love Richie's unintentional bikini model pose ;)
Credits to Richie and elaine for most of the photos above :)

To finish, a lovely picture of the little sand dune area I was talking about. Such a relaxing summer day at the beach.

Hey people! I hope you've all been enjoying your holidays - mine having been that great lately due to some crappy family issues but yeah. I bet I'll be missing my holidays like crazy once uni starts. I went out the other day with my cousin, brother and Kaido to watch 47 Ronin, and I am proud to say that I drove us to southbank (with my mum supervising of course). Despite what Kaido thinks, I actually didn't kill anyone on the way there.

Kaido also brought along some souvenirs he got me from japan, well actually by souvenirs I mean food. This is called a Manju :

They sell maple leaf shaped ones in Hiroshima but the ones he got us were circular shaped. They're japanese confectionary filled with red bean paste if I'm not mistaken. I usually don't like stuff filled with red bean paste because its always too sweet but this one was actually pretty nice.

For once, I also had the patience to sit down and do something to my nails. But I did end up screwing it up a little as I usually do. Anyway, I present to you :

Newspaper nails!

Well not quite 'newspaper' style since I don't have white nail polish unfortunately. I realised the other day all the nail polish in my house is actually my mothers and hence I can never paint my nails in patterns I want because the colours don't match.
Urgh wrinkly skin, this is what happens when you wash a lot of dishes and don't use hand cream little kids. I also need to stop accidentally scratching myself at work. I've just stopped counting my scratches now since I seem to get one every few shifts or so, from seemingly harmless objects I may add. Anyway, good night to you all. I shall go enjoy a movie with a nice bag of cheese flavoured popcorn now.
