MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL :) ~ 🎄

Hey guys, I'd like to thank you all for sticking around even though my posts have become very infrequent and uneventful. Anyway, I hope that this year has been a good one and that you have all learnt new things ! Don't forget to eat heaps of food at christmas.

After so many days of hard work at Daiso I was delighted to receive my payslip and am happy to report that I have reached my goal of saving at least $5000 before the end of this year! Actually I've exceeded that amount.

But, then something heartbreaking happened. My heart feels desolatingly empty and I'm crying inside. The reason is……
I bought christmas presents for my family for the first time in my life and my weeks savings is practically gone. Okay jokes aside, it was nice to see their surprised expressions since we never really celebrate christmas with presents or anything. I bought my dad some fine wine that one of the staff at Dan Murphy suggested. The lady who was at the registers did not ask me for my ID. I do not know whether or not to feel offended.

Also walked around trying to find something to buy for my mum and I was clearly on drugs cause I walked into the Fossil store and came out with a watch that left a deep gaping hole in my wallet. I am still devastated but happy at the same time. If that even makes sense. Of course it does.

Too bad for my cousin and brother that I felt broke and got them lame presents. Its okay, now eighteen years worth of christmas presents is made up for. Anyway, speaking of presents again, I also got something from my parents :

A BOSE soundlink Mini speaker

and silver studs from Prouds so that my ears don't have allergic reactions to them like I do with some earrings made out of random metal.

Looks like it has been a year filled with new things. First time celebrating christmas, first time dragging my dad to the cinemas etc.

A few days before christmas eve I had some of my uni friends over for a afternoon BBQ. A few people sadly bailed last minute due to work but we still had an awesome time. Thanks justin for bringing some drinks for us! Pk wanted me to teach her how to make macarons and out of the many times I succeeded I managed to kill the batch I made with her. I was so sad. I am sorry for making fugly ones for you take home :') It's okay though, we had fun right?

Apart from that, I've spent my days working (include period during which Daiso was open for like 36 hours straight, I worked until midnight). The next morning I came into work to find this in our storeroom.

My colleague saw my family shopping at Chermside and she was like

'Omg your brother is handsome and your mum is hot'

:') Why did I not inherit the genes then. Everytime some family friend sees us after a while its always:
"Oh jed has changed so much! Gotten more handsome!"
and then its like "Oh penny you still look the same as when you were little!"
(:"
Its okay, when I'm forty maybe I'll still 'look the same' and be young ;)

Late night dinners with the folks and cousin.
My first time at those restaurant/ bars in the middle of queen street. The food wasn't particularly impressing for the price. I actually prefer Boom boom which we had in the same week because it was less busy and there was more food for cheaper. It also tasted better.
My parents went crazy cause they were super hungry and it was their first time there and they wouldn't listen to me when I said they had huge portions. So they proceeded to order hot pot + BBQ combo along with a few other dishes.

I also got to meet up with Cindy, my sister from another mother a while back before she went to Taiwan. Had hakataya ramen for the first time.

I'm glad brisbane has been putting on more exciting things compared to past years. This year there was some light display at City hall along with a few christmas performances/ choirs.

Anyway I shall leave it at that ! I'm gonna go enjoy the rest of my evening now :3 Or should I say morning since it is like 12:32 am now. Watching Desolation of Smaug (The Hobbit Part 2) with Janice on Boxing day! Then… road trip with le family. Good night/morning to you all. Once again, Merry Christmas!

wow omg I saw my grade 12 english teacher at Daiso when I was working today.
I seem to have this thing where I always end up seeing my teachers outside of school in the most awkward settings.

I remember back in grade nine I was doing wii fit at home and then I see my history teacher in my backyard without his shirt. He was apparently borrowing our high pressure water blaster to clean something for his parents who lived next door to us.

Anyway, last saturday after work I got invited to my colleague's apartment for korean BBQ. The view from her place was so pretty and you could see the city lights.
One day that is going to be me living like that. It took me a while to realise that I was the youngest one there, I always feel like my colleagues are around the same age as me. Shows I am very mature ya know ;) ;) haha just joking, my friends beg to differ.
My other colleague rachel made me a bailey mixed with milk. It tastes so good omg. I now refuse to listen to my dad when he tells me what he drinks is nice (red wine). The hosts even made us shaved ice dessert

Tis all. Other than that, I've been working like crazy. This week my work schedule =

Mon: 1:30-9:30pm
Tues: 10:00-6:00pm
Wed (today): 2:00-9:30pm
Fri: 9:30-6:00pm
Sat: 11:00-7:00pm

Oh well, at least I'm earning all that $$$ :')

All of a sudden I'm missing the past again, just like I always do. I feel momentarily disgusted with this aloof and insensitive version of myself who doesn't try her best at everything she does. It's kind of sad really, to look back on my past self and realise it had been a better version and that growing up has changed me for the worst.

I no longer put so much effort into friendships, I no longer compete with myself and strive to improve. I no longer take initiative to talk to people. I no longer look for the best things in people.

I want to revert back but a part of me wonders if it is too late.

I miss my little dog Sugar so much.

I feel like I'm becoming a hermit or something, I'm slowly losing the urge to talk to anyone. Instead I like to spend time by myself and just mope about. I really need to get my crap together and do something haha. Sorry for all the uninteresting posts lately, I'm afraid I am becoming very lame and boring.

I have a strong belief now that I really need to stick to the good habits I have now because whenever I stop something and don't resume it, I never go back to it. E.g. sports , violin, study etc. The problem is just overcoming that mental block and just getting to it. Argh sorry I sound like a crazy person. That's okay I suppose, maybe I can look back in like five years time and judge myself then.

Anyway, what else have I been up to…. well my uni friends (Tam, pk & justin) came over to my house to hang out the other day. Too bad the weather was stuffy and all. Tam brought a bunch of yummy food to my house to share but I felt so bad because they didn't even stay long (since we decided to go to the city to have dinner). Nevertheless I shall make sure next time we get to swim.

I swear though, it's become our weekly tradition to go out and eat food together. Oh well, I'm really glad that I met the people I did at uni this year and that we are a pretty close. It was something that I didn't expect to happen since I kept hearing of everyone saying that in uni you pretty much don't have any friends and if you do its like just on a 'hi, how is your day' basis.

On saturday I went on a date with my dear Jenwen and we went to this cafe called Depo which had really interesting interior decoration. I ordered Croque Madame and Jen ordered corn fritters.

Despite telling myself not to spend too much money on food I still find that most of my spending is still towards that area. Oh well, food makes makes me happy :3 Since I'm not spending my money on anything else, might as well be food. Well, of course I still need to pick myself up and go to gym. Though I have been getting quite a bit of exercise lately, between standing 8 hours for work three times a week, swimming at jennifer's house, spending 4 hours cleaning out the garage with my family.

In the afternoon kwok came over to jens house and we hung out until vincent and janice came over. We then had dinner at Jen's house and I saw for myself how healthily they ate. Makes me feel so guilty over my usual dinner (which has like 1-2 plates of meat) whereas they have mainly vegetables (boiled or raw) + seafood. I actually peeled a prawn by myself and ate it for the first time yesterday. Okay don't judge me, it was my first time peeling it because I don't like seafood not because I'm a spoilt brat :P

Jennifer's mum kept telling me I should eat more prawns to grow taller :') and that I should really try some so I did.  Her mum also let us sleep over after swimming in the backyard. Hehe we have officially made Jennifer's mum like us. Apparently we're like the first people who have ever slept over at her house! We stayed up till like 2am playing card games and just talking about a bunch of random stuff. Woke up at 6am though because it was too bright and her family took us out to a cafe called Dandelion to have breakfast. Felt so bad because her mum insisted on shouting us all.

I also went to the QUT library the other day to borrow some books and I came across this awesome christmas decoration - a christmas tree constructed out of books !!

Okay that is all :3 Goodnight everyone!

Hello everyone! I had a day off work today so I decided to meet up with Aya for the first time in three months and she wanted to go see some animals before she went back to Japan so we ended up going to Lone pine koala sanctuary!

I'm surprised we made it there and back without any complications but yeah, the day turned out more fun than I thought it would :) Actually, one bad (stupid more like) thing did happen. I was withdrawing some cash and stupidly after the machine ejected my card, I took it and walked off without my cash. I amaze myself with my smartness sometimes. In all honesty, it was pretty depressing haha, since I DID just potentially donate cash which I earned with my life to a potential weird stranger.

Anyway, moving on from that I did feel better after I arrived. The animals there were so cute and I realised I might've been there before back when I was still a kid.

 I am hedwig

The cages and enclosures weren't dirty or smelly at all to my surprise. Hehe isn't this owl just super adorable?
The awesome white dingo (there were brown/orangey looking ones too but yeah, too mainstream ;) )
I don't even know what this kind of bird is but it was just sitting right outside this building looking really bored. It didn't even run away when I went up real close to it with my camera. We went to see this bird prey show thing and I think there were trainers who were showing the audience that these eagles obeyed their instructions (flying back and forth and landing on their arms). We were a bit far away though so we couldn't be bothered. There was a animal barn nearby though so we popped in to have a look.
SO DAMN ADORABLE RIGHT??? there were baby chickens too. Oh damn… I just realised I ate chicken tonight, now I feel kind of guilty. We went to see some of the kangaroos next but we couldn't be bothered buying food so we faked having food instead and tried to get the kangaroos to come closer.
I was standing in front of it and it kept moving its head to the side to look at something behind me

I even tried to get a selfie with it but just like in Japan (where the doe ignored me), this kangaroo looked at me exasperatedly and hopped away slowly. I think it thought I was a retard or something, crouching down low and holding something in front of its face.

Aya really wanted to see some wombats too and at first we couldn't find them but then this one popped at and we got the biggest fright of our life because it was way larger than we thought (there was even a sign saying : CAUTION may bite). We disregarded it until we saw how big the Wombat actually was. I always thought it would be the size of a rabbit or something.

We brought our own food since the entrance fee was $24 already for students. Aya made us a bento with karaage which she claimed to have made by adding powder to chicken and microwaving it. Apparently there its 'shortcut karaage' ? Surprisingly tasted pretty good too. I brought some home made lemonade for us to share.

Of course, the day wouldn't have been complete without going to see the koalas. Don't be fooled by the pictures below, half the time they weren't actually moving around. Just sleeping , eating and more sleeping.
The fastest I saw them move was when new tree leaves got placed inside the enclosure and they actually crawled pretty fast to get to their food source.

Pretty fun day, well at least I felt I kind of did something different for a change. I remember I used to do these kind of activities back when I was younger and until today I had kind of forgotten it was actually relatively enjoyable. It was also my last time seeing Aya since she is going back to Japan in a few days ):
