She watched as the boy she loved turned away, about to leave the room but this time she couldn't let it happen. She wanted to know why it was this way now, she wanted to understand why he hated her so much, she wanted to stop feeling suffocated with emotions whenever she saw him. Thats why she called out. He looked angry, and she was certain it was at her but it didn't matter, he wasn't leaving, at least, not yet. Now she came to realise that he was more than a friend to her, she noticed every move, it seemed like there was such a distance between them yet he was standing one metre away. He was too good for her, being honest here, this is what it felt like. He had everything, looks, sporting ability, smartness, wealth. Pushing the nagging thoughts away she reached out her hand, it was a unintentional move and she let it drop back down on to the bedspread. She watched as his face transformed into a pained look as he stepped closer. "Jace...Jonathan, I...miss you," she whispered, teardrops fell onto her pale hand as she looked up to face him. Shadows outlined his angular face as he glanced down, eyes ablaze with emotion.

A unexpected movement caught her eye as hands shot out and siezed him away from her, it was the other guys, they had pulled him away. She watched as he struggled angrily against their hold, she wanted them to let go. Why couldn't they just disappear? To her surprise he twisted around and punched a guy in the face before ducking into a spin and tripping the rest of them. Jace never used violence, he was always so composed, she didn't understand why he'd resorted to it now. "Hey, you okay to move around?" He asked as he looked up. Too shocked to speak she nodded quickly. Without hesitation he quickly scooped her up into his arms and started towards the door. Her heart flitted to her mouth as she realised the he was carrying her, he had spoken to her. They were already out into the brightly lit corridor as doctors came running, she felt his lean arms tighten under her waist as he ducked through a fire door exit. She could feel the pounding of his feet against the concrete stairs as he carried her all the way to the ground floor. This only occured in dramas yet she knew that this was real, that she was in his arms.

"Hang on, we gotta find some place to talk," He muttered softly as they made it out into the open, it was the stairwell outside of the hospital. There he pressed himself against the corner, holding her tightly against his chest as doctors pushed open the door and ran down the stairs, past them. Gently he set her down against the wall and crouched down low, a serious expression on his face. She didn't know what to say, she felt embarassed, useless, scared even. As if noticing her discomfort looked into her eyes and placed a hand on her shoulder. She looked down at the hand, yet again, he was touching her. Awkwardly, he snatched his hand back and straightened. "Look, Sienna, before you say anything, I just wanted to apologize" He pleaded. It was shocking, seeing him lose his composure like that, he was never like this, not even when they were friends. His green eyes were staring at her, almost as if he meant to memorise her face, it was different and it made her feel as though her heart was clenched up tightly. His arms were suddenly around her, clutching her tightly against him as he placed a hand on her head, "I'm sorry, I never wanted to hurt you, I was selfish, I thought that if I left you alone you'd be okay."

Suddenly she could hear the rush of waves in her ears, it seemed as though his words were a incomprehensible blur. He hadn't wanted to leave her. That possibility had rendered her into her speechless. She couldn't think, she didn't know if she was breathing or not, all she could feel was the warmth of his arms around her. It seemed wierd to admit this but it was true. She didn't understand everything but it was okay. Her heart didn't hurt anymore, she no longer felt as though she missed him because the truth was, he was close, very close by.
